Typically, one openable hood unit is installed for every 5, 8, or 10 standard hood positions, with the exact quantity determined based on specific site conditions. Primary Function: To allow for the opening of the hood in order to observe the operational status of the belt conveyor, perform maintenance or repairs on the conveyor, or facilitate belt replacement.
